Lady May, Julian Slade's early musical, in a rare original cast rcording issued here for the first time. The CD is completed with songs from another early Slade recording of his various songs, including numbers that would eventually find their way into such shows as HOORAY FOR DAISY! and FOLLOW THAT GIRL (as well as 'Let's Take a Stroll Through London' which was cut from SALAD DAYS). There is also a selection from Slade's adaptation of Sheridan's play THE DUENNA, with which Slade had an early hit at the Westminster Theatre in the early 1950s.
